I remembered that my kakak usrah once told us, the top ten lists on what most of the people around the world afraid of. My kakak usrah is really a great speaker in front of public. She's very confident and her English is so great. Huuu, i'm proud of you sis!
And you know what, the fact really shocked me, but i am totally agree with it.
According to most studies, people's number one fear is public speaking. Number two is death. Death is number two. Does that seem right? Hmm, hmmm, you can start mumbling.
This study is conducted among the non muslim, but, it seems right. Looking to myself, i am totally agreed with this statement. But still, as a muslim, DEATH is something that we afraid of (yelaaa, amalan tak banyak, sumbangan untuk Islam pun seciput je, kena tanya dalam kubur nanti nak jawab macam mana). People do really afraid of talking in front of public, and of course, i am one of them.
Most of us live with this fear throughout our lives. Being an underrated skill we fail to get proper guidance to overcome our stage fright.
Nothing happens until you take action. You must take action, and, in most cases, the sooner the better. It is good to become a Muslim that can proudly and confidently speak at the front and talk about Islam in front of people (i wish i can be one of them).
I remember my brother told me, to be good in English and speaking fluently and confidently in English, make a habit to always listen to the Islamic lecture in English. And, most importantly, practise speaking in English. Now i know why he keeps on listening to all those stuff. Kadang ter'amazed' jugak dengar adik-adik kakak ni speak very fluently in English padahal kat rumah cakap kelate pekat je. Kakaknya pun merangkak-rangkak nak speaking bagai.
It is also 'ok' to listen the song given by the singers from the overseas, but the options are limited. Kononla tak nak dengar lagu orang putih yang merapu bagai tu kan sebab nak jaga hati hehe. Tapi jarang-jarang dengar jugak lagu tu semua.
This is what crossing in my mind right now. Speaking to myself, just be confident with yourself. Successful people do make mistakes at the beginning. It is ok to make a mistake dear.
Before i end, i would like to share a story that inspired me a lot. Tak salah kan cedok pengalaman dari non-muslim as long as it benefits the Muslim.
Because he REJECTED REJECTION over 300 times, there are now 11,000 KFC restaurants in 80 countries around the world. Amazing story right? :)
So, don't be afraid to get started in every single thing that you do, and if people rejects you, it is a good news. Try to just REJECT THE REJECTION by trying to be a better Muslim than before.
Just remember that, the secret of getting ahead is getting started.
Maafla ye, merapu sikit hari ni. Just nak bercakap dengan diri sendiri, mungkin ada ibrah walau tulisan ni lintang pukang :)
Haaa, lupa nak pesan, hari ni hari Jumaat so jom kita baca Surah Al-Kahfi dan banyakkan selawat ni. Selamat beramal!
notakaki :: Good luck to all! :)
